Training in urodynamics techniques is essential for accurate measurement, diagnosis and treatment. The International Continence Society has accredited courses in urodynamics to promote good practice, and has stipulated that learning should be free of manufacturer involvement. Since there are a number of urodynamics devices, we have designed the Bristol Urodynamics Trainer as a manufacturer-independent tool for urodynamics instruction.

Equipment has been developed which facilitates urodynamic training by providing an independent practice platform. The major technical challenges to providing a viable, affordable, manufacturer-independent tool for instruction in urodynamic techniques have been achieved.
